LEAP 2026 Day 02:Tech Moves to the Ground
Day 02 of LEAP 2026 accelerated momentum with over $2.5 billion in investments, highlighting data center expansions, smart cities, and destination operations that bridge digital infrastructure with real estate on the ground.

Day 02 of LEAP 2026 demonstrated a clear shift from digital infrastructure to on-the-ground application through massive investments:
Data Center Expansion: Day 02 saw over $2.5B in total announcements, including MIS’s $1.2B investment to expand data centers targeting a total capacity of 192 MW.
Khuzam Digital Valley (NHC Innovation): Announced an $880M data center development aimed at reaching a 65 MW capacity by 2033.
Smart Destination Operations (King Salman Park × Huawei): Signed a 2-year MoU to drive smart city platforms, AI innovation, and intelligent asset management across King Salman Park.
Power & Cooling Infrastructure (Zain KSA × DataVolt): Partnered to build high-density computing data centers focused on energy efficiency, advanced cooling, and high-capacity connectivity.
NAMA’s Perspective: Tech is now part of the asset spec. An asset's value is no longer just its location, but its power readiness, connectivity, and cooling capacity.
